66. You never know what a conversation will lead to

Whether you're in an elevator, in a meeting, or talking to a stranger, you just never know where a conversation will lead you.

 

That conversation may lead you to a new role, and then another job later down the road.

 

Who knows, maybe like my guest on this week's podcast, John Russo, you can create a YouTube channel, or work with people you've admired for years. He has many other tips:

 

• Small goals matter - and working towards them is very important if you want to get where you're going.

 

• Maybe Invent a way to make something more fun. Or teach people what you're passionate about.

 

• Always value others' opinions of you; take their feedback as fact, and see it as worth exploring.

 

• Stay open to everything because an open mind may just lead you where you want to go.

 

• Oh, and tell people no!  It's actually okay. Try it today.
