Peace and Possibilities

Jul 14, 2021

Does this sound familiar? "I did what I was supposed to do, until I became a _____ and struggled to do it all…"

Whether you're a parent, an entrepreneur, or someone who has multiple interests, trying to do it all eventually brings us to a tipping point. This might happen sooner rather than later, or it could take decades.

It is my sincere hope for you that it doesn't take decades!

My guest, Susan Russo, learned this early on as a college student. And eventually, she accidentally started her own business.

Here are a few lessons she learned along the way:

  • Although she had no realistic plan in place, as she imagined, she figured out how to help fill a need.
  • Finding your purpose is overwhelming. Instead she encourages us to find our purpose now.
  • There is always something there to motivate you, no matter what your role/situation/lot in life.
  • Just like Mr. Miyagi showed us, we can develop transferable skills, so build them, then transfer them to something better.
  • Don't get stuck with your foot in the door; just because you started something, doesn't mean you can't make a change.
  • Ask questions, so you can learn more, sooner.
  • Pay attention to how you feel; those feelings are meant to teach you, always.

Figuring it all out is impossible, but you can figure it out as you go, if you just consider your purpose now - today, right this minute.
